Así comienza el que quizás sea el mejor vídeo del "ice bucket challenge" por la visibilización del ELA venido del ámbito de la moda. Ya nos rasgamos todos las vestiduras cuando la mismísima Anna Wintour (en un alarde para demostrarnos que no es un robot y que tiene corazón) aceptó mojarse por este postureo esta causa solidaria de mano de todos los niños de su familia (niño los cuales esperemos que sigan conservando la cabeza sobre sus hombros). La italiana por excelencia, decidió hacer un vídeo "Versace". ¿Qué es un video Versace, os preguntaréis? Los dos dioses del Olimpo en un segundo plano llenos de cadenotas de oro, el trono en el que está Donatella, el jardín, todas las macetas con la medusa dorada, los jarrones de cerámica nuevamente con el emblema de la marca. TODO en ese vídeo desprende Versace desde cualquier elemento. Y el "inglés" de la diva sólo hace que añadirle más barroquismo a la escena. Brava!

A few days ago the whole world was shocked watching how Anna Wintour (trying to make us believe that she's not a robot and that indeed, she has a heart) accepted the challenge and all the siblings in her family threw ice buckets on her (we're sincerely praying for those children). The italian designer decided to make a "Versace" video. And what's a Versace video? you'll be wondering. The two greek gods on the background, carrying heavy golden chains around their necks, Donatella's throne, the garden, the flower pots and the ceramic vases all carrying the "Versace" medusa symbol... EVERYTHING in that video screams Versace. And the diva's "english" is just the cherry on top. Brava!

El pasado domingo fue una de las mejores vestidas en los VMAs, se llevó el premio del año y el discurso lo dio un "homeless" de una asociación a la cual la de Nashville quiere dar visibilidad... Verdaderamente "she can't stop and she won't stop". ¿Lo nuevo? La pedazo de sesión de fotos que ha realizado junto a Karl Lagerfeld para el "rebel issue" de la revista V magazine. ¿Quién mejor que la Cyrus para representar la polémica y la rebeldía dentro del mundo pop actual? Otras estrellas como Madonna, Britney, Lady GaGa o Katy Perry han sido imagen de portada de esta publicación en ocasiones anteriores. Esta ocasión, sin duda, era el turno de Miley, la cual por cierto, ya se encuentra haciendo lo que mejor se le da: grabar nueva música.
Miley Cyrus never stops making headlines. Last sunday, she was easily one of the best dressed at the VMAs, where she won the "video of the year" award for Wrecking Ball. The acceptance speech was given by a young homeless man from an organisation that Miley is supporting now... Truly, "she can't stop and she won't stop". What's new for her this week? The amazingly stunning photoshoot she has made helped by no other than Karl Lagerfeld for the "rebel issue" from "V Magazine". Because, who'd be better to represent rebel and controversy within the pop world? Other fellow stars like Madonna, Britney, Lady GaGa or Katy Perry have covered that magazine previously. Undoubtedly this was Miley's turn, which by the way is already doing what she does best: recording new music.

Una nueva edición del festival de cine de Venecia ha comenzado esta semana, y con esta ya van 71. La ciudad de los canales se satura estos días de estrellas del cine, de la moda y demás familia llegando en barca al Lido. La película elegida para realizar la apertura del festival fue "Birdman" del mejicano Alejandro González Iñárritu. La alfombra se llenó de celebridades entre las que para mi destacó ese bellezón patrio que es Nieves Álvarez vestida de Alberta Ferretti en un tono magenta, con un impresionante collar con forma de serpiente de Bulgari. La semana de modelazos de alta costura no ha hecho más que comenzar. 
A new edition of the Venice International Film Festival has just started, and with this one, there have already been 71. The city of canals is crowded this days with movie stars, fashion icons, designers, and all kind of people arriving at the Lido. The movie chosen for the opening Ceremony was "Birdman" by the mexican filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu. The red carpet was full of celebrities, but the one that really stood out for me was the spanish super model Nieves Álvarez. Dressed in a raspberry Alberta Ferretti gown, she completed her look with equally stunning Bulgari jewelry. A week full of haute couture looks has just kicked off.



Si hubo alguien que destacó el pasado lunes en la entrega de los Emmy por todas las malas razones, esa fue Lena Dunham. Me duele en el alma, como fan acérrimo de su serie Girls, de su personalidad, y de su todo tener que ponerla en esta lista, pero es que la pobre se lució pero bien. Eligió un modelo de la última colección de Giambattista Valli el cual en la pasarela resultaba deslumbrante, pero que en ella daba la sensación de ser un disfraz. Si la blusa hubiese estado mejor ceñida, y Lena midiese 1'80, el look no hubiese sido tan trágico, pero es que este modelito quedará grabado en nuestras memorias mucho tiempo. Más suerte para la próxima.
If there was someone that stood out last monday at the Emmy's red carpet for all the wrong reasons, that one was Lena Dunham. My beloved Lena Dunham. And it kills me to put her in the "not hot list" because I lover her style, her TV series "Girls" and her whole personality, but if this was any kin of "hot", then it was a hot mess. She choose one of the gowns from the Giambattista Valli latest fall collection which looked amazing on the runway, but more like a costume on her. Maybe if the upper part had been a little bit tighter and Lena was 1,80 m tall this wouldn't have been so tragic, but unfortunately this look will remain in our heads for a very long time. Better luck next time.


El denominado "activismo hashtag" nos encanta a todos. Esto consiste en hacer el paripé en las redes sociales por una buena causa y luego donar ese dinero a comprarnos un helado o una camiseta del Zara. Vamos, lo que viene a ser un POSTUREO. Si cierto es que hemos visto a todos los famosos hacerlo, y que teóricamente todos ellos donan, un artículo del periódico El Mundo revelaba que en España "mucho cubo y pocas nueces": vamos, que gran parte de la gente se limitaba simplemente a hacer el ridículo en Instagram sin donar el dinero. Esta semana llevamos ya un muerto de 18 años en Escocia que se cayó a un pantano tras realizar el reto del cubo con agua helada. En Ampuriabrava un herido crítico tras el impacto de 1500 litros de agua desde un hidroavión. Si queréis hacer esto: Limitaos a hacer lo del cubo en vuestro jardín y a donar los 10€. O a donar los 10 € directamente.
The newly named "hashtag activism" is something we all love. This consists of making stupid things in our Tw/Fbs/IGs for a good cause for later spending that money on an ice cream or a new tee from Zara. It's true that we've seen celebrities from all countries doing it (and allegedly the donate the money) but in an article from spanish Newspaper "El Mundo" revealed that here only a small percentage of people who poured cold water on themselves actually donated money. This week we already have a 18 year old that drowned in Scotland while recording himself and a man in critical condition in the hospital from Ampuriabrava after a hydroplane threw 1500 L of water on him. If you want to do this: just record the video at home and donate 10€. Or just donate the 10€.


Si hubo algo mejor que el mismo show de los VMAs fueron las "audience cams" que puso MTV. Lo mejor para momentos tan tediosos como las actuaciones de Sam Smith o Taylor Swift. En ellas pudimos ver las selfies de Katy Perry, a Taylor Swift y Lorde bailando como dos mortífagos arrítmicos o a Gwen Stefani y Miley Cyrus aburriéndose a muerte. Uno de los momentos que más polémica ha generado, y con razón, fue cuando durante el minuto de silencio por Michael Brown y los disturbios en Ferguson, el clan Kardashian aprovechó para leer tweets, mandar mensajes por Whatsapp y no prestar atención. Una falta de respeto gravísima y más teniendo en cuenta que Kim está casada con Kanye West, persona que siempre ha levantado su voz en temas raciales. Un poquito de por favor.
If there was something that was actually better than the VMAs that was the "audience cams" that MTV streamed this years. Great for boring moments such as the performances by Taylor Swift or Sam Smith. In those, we could see Katy Perry taking selfies non stop, Taylor Swift and Lorde's creepy dance moves or Gwen Stefani and Miley Cyrus not giving a s*it about anything. One of the most controversial and talked about moments this week, happened during the "minute of silence for the death of Michael Brown" in which the Kardashian clan opted for catching up with Twitter and text messaging. Such a disrespectful action, especially, if we take into account that Kim is married to Kanye, whom have always been very active fighting racism through his music. Kendall's face says it all, because she actually couldn't care less.

Pero me he visto incapaz de expresar todo lo que quería transmitir en unos pocos párrafos ante la innumerable lista de sandeces que he visto a lo largo de la semana contra su persona.
