Desde que empezase la New York Fashion Week, hasta ahora que acaba de terminar la de Paris, infinidad de diseñadores han presentado sus propuestas a ambos lados del charco, tanto en Londres como en Madrid o en Milán. Centenares de celebrities en los front rows, bloggers luciendo palmito, tendencias, desfiles espectaculares, caras nuevas sobre las pasarelas y nuevas prendas fetiche para la próxima temporada de primavera verano de 2015. Resumirlo todo es imposible, pero aquí tenéis las 12 cosas que hemos aprendido en estas fashion weeks en esta edición especial de "What's hot and what's not". A empaparse de moda.
Since the New York Fashion Week started, until now that Paris is coming to an end, infinity of designers from all over the globe have been showcasing their collections on both London, Madrid or Milan. Hundreds of celebs spotted "frontrowing", bloggers working their looks prior to the shows, trends, amazing runways, new faces of modelling and "fetish" clothes for the next s/s 2015 season. Summing it all up is nearly impossible, but here are the top 12 things we've learnt throughout these days in this special edition of "What's hot and what's not". Let's get a fashion overdose.


1. EL MINIMALISMO SPORT DE LACOSTE MOLA MUCHO
Lacoste propone para 2015 una colección que dista mucho de la imagen tradicional que todos tenemos en mente sobre la firma. Tonos pastel, looks monocromáticos y tejidos como el neopreno se dan cita en estas piezas, las cuales podríamos ver tanto en el armario de Frank Ocean como en el de Kanye West. Por cierto, adiós a los pitillos...
Lacoste proposes for 2015 a collection that is far from the traditional image that we often get from the brand. Pastel shades, monochromatic looks and fabric experimentation with neoprene. We could see these pieces inside Frank Ocean and Kanye's closet. By the way, say goodbye to skinny jeans...

2. NICKI MINAJ LOOKING PRETTY DAMM GOOD
Tras entre otras cosas, haber roto YouTube con su videoclip de Anaconda, la rapera más polifacética del panorama actual se ha dado su tradicional vuelta por la New York Fashion Week, este año, más discreta (dentro de sus límites) y elegante que de costumbre. La hemos podido ver apoyando a Alexander Wang, con un crop top y una falda alta bicolor en azules, y a Donatella, en el front row del desfile de Versus. Brava.
Besides breaking Youtube with her latest video for "Ananconda", the most talked about rapper has been seen a lot during NYFW. This year, more discreet and subtle (for her standards) than as usual. We've seen her support Alexander Wang (bicolor blue crop top and high waisted skirt) and Donatella, in Versus front row. Brava!

3. VUELVE EL SAFARI
En la NYFW era Ralph Lauren el que daba el pistoletazo de salida a una serie de colecciones que revisitan esta fuente de inspiración: tonos camuflaje, verdes caqui, pantalones cargo, pero todo mezclado con tejidos y camisas de organza, obteniendo un resultado más cercano a los Hamptons que a las praderas kenyatas. Desde un enfoque más libre de artificio y con siluetas más relajadas, Angel Schlesser toma también tonos propios de la sabana y la jungla como el rojo, el naranja o el animal print. Todo esto sin perder el "menos es más" que siempre está presente en todas sus creaciones.
Back in NYFW, Ralph Lauren set the record straight with the first collection bringing a safari revival: camouflage greens, khakis, cargo pants, organza shirts, achieving a result closer to the Hamptons than the Kenya savannah. From a more "craft free" point of view, with relaxed silhouettes, Angel Schlesser takes the palette from the savannah and the jungle such as reds, orange or even animal print. Everything is done without losing the "less is more" that is present throughout all his collections.

4. JEREMY SCOTT: DE BARBIE MOSCHINO A SUS LOCUROTAS CON MILEY
Otro que no para de romper Instagram y Tumblr cada vez que saca una nueva prenda al mercado es Jeremy Scott. Tras su colección inspirada en la comida rápida y en McDonalds para Moschino, el listón estaba muy alto: ¿Qué mejor que unas modelos convertidas en Barbies patinadoras para revolucionar toda la Milan Fashion Week? Revisita la iconografía más clásica de Mattel y nos recuerda a prendas de María Escoté. Ambos nos encantan. A su vez, ha sacado una colección de accesorios con la irreverente Miley Cyrus. La popstar lleva meses mostrando en su Instagram el proceso de creación de sus manualidades: chillonas, neon, fluor... Cultura pop de la mejor manera.
Another one that keeps on breaking Instagram and Tumblr each time that releases a clothing item is Jeremy Scott. After her fast food and McDonalds inspired collection last year, he set the bar very high: What better that models dressed up as Barbies skating down the runway making MFW go wild? Revisiting Mattel's most famous iconography, his new clothing line reminds of Maria Escote latest work: and we love it. 5. BAILA CON DUYOS
La fluidez de las sedas y de las prendas de Duyos se merecían algo así: Esta colección marcaba el decimoquinto aniversario de la marca, con tonos tierra, azul, rojo y amarillos que recordaban a la tierra natal de su creador, las islas Canarias. Bailarinas del Ballet Nacional de España dieron movimiento a las prendas, en dos actos que pusieron en pie a todos los asistentes. Simplemente impresionante.
Silk fluency from Duyos creations deserved something like this. This collection marked the 15th anniversary of the designer showing her designs at the MBFWM with ocher, blue, yellow and red tones that reminded of his homeland, the Canary Islands. Dancers from the National Spanish Ballet gave life to his clothes, in two acts that ended up in two standing ovations. Simply amazing.

6. PEPA SALAZAR: DI ADIÓS AL PARAGUAS
Hyperdry, la nueva colección de Pepa Salazar es todo un ejemplo de como la moda y las nuevas tecnologías van (o deberían) ir juntas de la mano. Tonos pastel, que tras pasar por una instalación en mitad de la pasarela, cambian de color al recibir el agua de la lluvia. Ocho looks femeninos y simples a primera vista, que esconden una pretensión de ir un poco más allá en el desarrollo de la profesión. Increíble.
Hyperdry, Pepa Salazar latest collection is a great example of why fashion and latest technologies should go hand by hand. Pastel tones that after going through an amazing installation in the middle of the runway change their colors. 8 feminine yet simple looks that are actually hiding a fashion forward attitude. Incredible.

7. EL ROCK N ROLL DE HILFIGER
Una colección totalmente alejada de lo que llega a las tiendas de Tommy de nuestras ciudades: Olvidaos de los polos, de los chinos y de los tonos beige. La marca americana nos transporta a ediciones pasadas de Glastonbury, al vestuario de Freddie Mercury o al ropero de Jimmy Hendrix. Desenfado, tonos granates, y una puesta en escena sorprendente entre césped y flores.
A collection that goes beyond the image that we get from Tommy's stores in our cities: Forget about polo shirts, jumpers and beige chinos. The american brand brings us back to past editions of Glastonbury, Jimmy Hendrix dressing room or Freddie Mercury's closet all mixed together. Abandon, bourgoundy shades and a mesmerizing staging between grass and flowers.

8. DELPOZO VOLVIÓ A CONQUISTAR NUEVA YORK
La cuarta colección presentada en la NYFW por la marca española no ha dejado indiferente a nadie. Probablemente, está en mi top 3 de colecciones favoritas de todas las fashion weeks. Los impecables juegos con el color, los grandes volúmenes jugando con delicados bordados y delicadas pedrerías, una imagen muy próxima a la "haute couture" parisina hacen de estas prendas una delicia para los amantes de la moda más refinada y contemporánea.
It's the fourth time that the spanish brand presents their designs in the NYFW and no one was indifferent about it. It might be probably in my top 3 of favourite collections from all fashion weeks this September. The impeccable playing with shades, big volumes mixed with delicate embroidery and an image very close to the parisian "haute couture" that make this pieces an absolute delight for finest fashion lovers.

9. LA OMNIPRESENTE KENDALL (JENNER)
Si hay una modelo que ha destacado en todas las pasarelas, esa ha sido Kendall Jenner. La quinta vástaga del clan "Kardashian/Jenner" ha desfilado para Diane Von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger, Ports, Fendi o D&G entre otros, recibiendo la atención de todos los flashes y de todos los portales de noticias. Habiendo vivido toda su vida bajo los focos de la Telerealidad americana, hemos podido ver como esa pequeña niña ha ido cumpliendo su sueño de convertirse en supermodelo, y está imparable. If there's a model that has stood out above the others this season, it's been Kendall Jenner. The fifth stem off the "Kardashian/Jenner" clan has modelled for Diane Von Furstenberg, Tommy Hilfiger, Ports, Fendi or D&G among others, receiving the attention of all the flashes and news magazines. Having lived all of her life under the media pressure, we've been able to see how this little girl has fulfilled her dream of becoming a top model, and she's unstoppable now. Watch out, Cara...

10. EL CARROUSEL FINAL DE DOLCE & GABANNA
Sobre un tapete de un intenso color burdeos, este ha sido sin duda uno de los momentazos en Milán. La representación de la mujer italiana y mediterránea. Un escuadrón de féminas, pantalones rojos de tiro alto, bordados, blusas blancas y cabello moreno minuciosamente peinado con la ralla en medio. Definitivamente en el mundo de la moda, cada vez toman más valor las imágenes poderosas que se convierten en virales; esta es una de ellas.
On an intense burgundy mug, this has been no doubt one of the "it moments" on Milan: The representation of the italian and Mediterranean woman. A squadron of fierce females, dressed in short high slit shorts, embroidery, white blouses and hair carefully combed parted in the middle. In the fashion world, powerful and viral images are only getting stronger, and this is a great example of it.

11. BALMAIN
¿Qué se puede decir de lo último de Balmain? Pues todo lo que podíamos esperar: Negros, cueros, blancos, Kimye en el front row, y Kendall y Jourdan en la pasarela. Quintaesencia.
What can I say from the latest Balmain show? Well, everything you could expect from it: Black, leathers, white, Kimye on the front row and Kendall and Jourdan down the runway. Quintessential Balmain.

12. LA MEZCLA DE PASADO Y FUTURO DE RAF SIMONS PARA DIOR
Simons es un genio. Tras su alabada colección de alta costura el pasado Julio lo vuelve a hacer. Si cogiésemos el siglo XVIII, el XXII, Versalles, y lo mezclásemos todo, esto sería lo que obtendríamos.
