Os traigo una nueva entrega dentro del marco de la 080 Barcelona Fashion. Esta vez, los diseños que vienen de la mano del diseñador barcelonés Selim de Somavilla. Formado en Barcelona y en Londres nos propone una colección llena de muchos elementos, titulada "Three Thousand Words", que el mismo describe así:
"Las últimas semanas de verano se precipitan. Con melancolía, recuerdan el casi finalizado estío, de días cálidos y noches eternas. El influjo lunar eterniza todos sus sueños. Sueños que perdurarán en la memoria. Carpe Diem, es el sueño de una noche de verano. Ahora se cierra una etapa. Otra nueva está por llegar. Es un momento de cambio, en el que las primeras tres mil palabras serán las que determinarán un prometedor futuro."
I bring you another post connected to the 080 Barcelona Fashion. This time, the looks are provided by the Barcelona based designer Selim de Somavilla. With his studies taking place in both Barcelona and Londond, he delivers a collection full of many elements, under the name of "Three Thousand Words", which Somavilla himself describes like this:
"The last few weeks of the summer hurry away. With melancholy, they invoke the almost finishing summer, of warm days and eternal nights. The moon’s influence makes all of their dreams eternal. Dreams that shall last in the memory. Carpe Diem, it is a midsummer night’s dream. Now an epoch is drawing to a close. A fresh one is just around the corner. It is a time for change, in which the first three thousand words will be those that are to determine a promising future."
En esta colección, yo destacaría principalmente el uso de tantos tejidos y tan distintos. Desde el estampado de inspiración "tweed" o a cuadros, hasta otros de inspiración nuevamente tropical. En el tema de la paleta, aparecen tonos como el azul klein, el amarillo lima o el celeste, que vemos en prendas como las bikers, los shorts o trajes de siluetas muy relajadas. Una colección llena de antítesis, en lo cual radica su genialidad.
I would specially point out from this collection, the delicate use of so many different fabrics. Ranging from a "tweed" inspired pattern to an again tropical themed one. In the color palette, the shades go from klein blue, to lime yellow or baby blue, which we see in pieces such as the bikers, shorts or relaxed silhouette suits. A collection full of antithesis, in which its genius lies.
Estos tres últimos looks han sido los favoritos del desfile, siendo el de hombre mi preferido. La combinación del amarillo pastel de los shorts con el klein de la chaqueta más los apliques negros y el estampado tropical, mezclando de esta forma un enfoque más urbano con un aire veraniego y tropical me parece sublime.
This last three looks have been my favourite out of all the show, being the first one my favourite. The mixing of the pastel yellow in the shorts with the metallic klein of the jacket, the black pieces and the tropical pattern, giving the look both an urban and summery feel, looks magnificent to me.
