Como cada vez que se avecina el final del año, nos encanta echar la vista atrás para revisitar "los mejores discos",
"las mejores vestidas", "las noticias del año", etc. Aquí
en lestrendykids, como ya es tradición, no iba
a ser menos. Los Globos de Oro, el Festival de Cannes, los Grammy, o la
ceremonia de los Goya han dado, para mí, los mejores y peores looks del año.
Por supuesto me habré olvidado de alguien, pero echando la vista atrás,estos han sido los 20 looks, que para bien o para mal, más han impactado a mis retinas. Como el año pasado, al final de la
entrada tenéis una encuesta para que podáis elegir democraticamente vuestros
looks favoritos.
As December goes by, we always love looking back and compile "best of the year" lists: albums, red carpet looks, iconic moments... Here in lestrendykids it's already a tradition, and I took a look at previous posts about the Golden Globes, Cannes Film Festival, The Grammys or the Goyas to pick my top 10 of most and least favourite looks this year. I'm propably missing some looks, but here are the ones that really caught my eye for both the right or wrong reasons. As a new treat for you, you can vote in two polls at the end of this article and choose your picks. Here they are.

Los Golden Globes son la primera gran gala de cada año, y las dos primeras en ocupar esta lista lo hacen por sus dos grandes aciertos sobre su alofmbra roja. El espectacular vestido en pailette amarillo de Leslie Mann (desafiando a la mala suerte) ocupa el número 10, seguida de la incombustible Julianne Moore, que recogió su premio por Still Alice con un deslumbrante Givenchy. En octava posición, una de las reinas de la moda de la última década: Cate Blanchett y el Giles que eligió para su primera aparición sobre la alfombra roja de Cannes de este año
The Globes always kick off awards season, and the two first ladies in this top 10 dazzled everyone there with their looks. A stunning Leslie Mann wearing a yellow pailette columm dress, followed by this year Globe recipient Julianne Moore, in a silver Givenchy. In the eighth position, one of my favourite red carpet queens ever: Cate Blanchett graced the red carpet in Cannes wearing a mesmerizing Giles gown.

Siempre puedes contar con Nieves Álvarez a la hora de deslumbrar sobre la alfombra roja. Una acostumbrada ya a estas listas se cuela en mi número 7 con su Elie Saab de Cannes. Una de las pocas veces en las que la española no escogió un Stephane Rolland, y acertó de pleno. Junto a Kendall Jenner, este ha sido el año de GiGi Hadid: he de decir que no soy muy fan de su estilo, pero el mono metalizado de Michael Kors que escogió para la entrega de los CFDA en Nueva York la consolidan en mitad de la lista. Y es que, pocas podrían hacer funcionar tan bien un look setentero. Al igual que la siguiente parisina, que se estrenaba este año como chica Bond: Lea Seydoux eligió un Prada metálico para la premiere mundial de Spectre en Londres. Y es que, ¿Qué grita más "chica bond" que un traje cubierto de destellos dorados?
You can always count on Nieves Álvarez to bring the A game to any red carpet. She's well known in the best dressed list, and se manages to get the seventh position with her icy Elie Saab for Cannes (one of the few times she didn't wear his favourite designer, Stephane Rolland) Along Kendall Jenner, GiGi Hadid has had an amazing year: I got to admit that I'm not a big fan of her fashion choices, but the silvery and golden jumpsuit that she wore to the CFDA in New York totally catched my eye. Not many could pull a 70's look in such an elegant way. The next one on the list, the parisian Lea Seydoux has also had quite a year. She debuted as a Bond Girl, and what a better way to do so than with a sparkly uber glamour gown by Prada.

La joven Lily James hizo durante este 2015 su gran debut en el cine, protagonizando la nueva adaptación de Cenicienta. La promo tour estuvo llena de momentos gloriosos de Elie Saab y Marchesa, pero su look elegido para la premiere mundial en Los Ángeles no pudo dar más en el clavo. Y es que, si esto no es la interpretación contemporánea de una Cenicienta, yo ya no se lo que es. Ocupando tanto el tercer como el segundo puesto, uno de los mayores iconos del estilo de los tiempos recientes. La incomparable Diane Kruger parece que nunca falla, y triunfó con un aire clásico sobre la alfombra roja de Venecia con un Boss burdeos y en los CFDA con un Prabal Gurung. La elegancia europea personificada.

The movie's promo tour was filled with magnificent Elie Saab and Marchesa moments, but the look chosen for the LA premiere, was the epitome of class and a modern version of a cinderella. Both in third and second place, one of the biggest fashion icons of modern times, Diane Kruger. It looks like it's always a "win" situation when it comes to her, wheter it's a classier approach, like her burgundy Boss in Venice, or a modern one, like her Prabal Gurung at the CFDAs. European elegance at its best.

La elegancia europea corona este año la lista de las mejores vestidas. El amarillo nunca es fácil, pero Lea Seydoux en la alfombra roja de los BAFTA en Londres no tuvo ningún tipo de competencia con su Prada. Desde que ganase en 2013 la Palma de Oro en Cannes por su papel en "La Vida de Adele", la carrera de Lea ha continuado de manera vertiginosa. Su papel en Spectre la ha llevado por las alfombras rojas y photocalls de medio mundo, en los cuales sus looks, uno tras otro, han sido elegidos como los mejores del año. Esperemos que en 2016, la carrera de Lea siga igual de imparable.
European elegance fills the whole top 3 this year. Yellow is never an easy color, but Lea Seydoux at the BAFTAs red carpet in London, did not have any trouble to pull it off. Since her Palme D'Or in 2013 for "Blue Is The Warmest Color" her career has skyrocketed. Her role in Spectre has brought her all around the world, and her looks for the premieres and photocalls have been chosen as the best of the year. Let's hope that 2016 keeps bringing us more Lea.
