Septiembre trae consigo la vuelta a la rutina, a la universidad, la locura de las fashion weeks (este domingo no os podéis perder aquí mi top 10 de cosas sobre las FW) y el plantearse el cambio de armario. Aunque cada año, este momento se retrasa cada vez más y podemos estirar al máximo el uso de nuestras prendas de verano. Os traigo estas fotos de mis prendas favoritas de este verano y unas nuevas adquisiciones para este "entretiempo". Las sandalias del Pull&Bear, increíblemente cómodas y mi nuevo jersey favorito de la misma casa. No estoy preparado aún para desempolvar los abrigos.

September always means going back to our routines, to college, the craziness of the fashion weeks and thinking about the changes in your wardrobe. Every year, at least here in Spain, we're able to delay this moment as far away as possible because of longer summers. I bring you this pics wearing my favourite summer / "start of the fall" pieces: The Pull & Bear sandals, amazingly comfortable and my new jumper, from the same store. I'm not ready to give up on this summer just yet.

Outfit of the day 22: Concrete Summer

The kids were young and pretty

"El verano ya llegó, ya llegó, ya llegó..." *inserte melodía de Caribe Mix 2001*. Por fin parece que llegan los tiempos de canícula, y lo hacen para quedarse. Si hay algo que quedó claro con las colecciones para hombre de primavera/verano para este año, es que vuelven todo tipo de camisas floreadas y psicodélicas. Saint Laurent o Givenchy adelantaban esta tendencia que inunda ya todos los Zara y Pull&Bear del planeta. En este caso, esta es vintage: más barata y más auténtica. Las flatforms son de Asos, y los pantalones también vintage. A seguir disfrutando del sol.

It looks like the warm days of summer are upon us. The heat has arrived, and it is here to stay. If there was one clear trend from last year's menswear collections, that was floral patterned shirts. Saint Laurent or Givenchy were the first ones to bring them back from a tacky Miami inspired 80's movie. Now, they're all over the world thanks to Zara and Pull&Bear. Mine is vintage: cheaper and more authentic. Flatforms are from Asos, and the shorts are also vintage. Keep on enjoying the sun.

ALBÉNIZ "ANGEL S/S 2014" COLLECTION 080 BARCELONA FASHION

Siguiendo en la línea de la 080 Barcelona Fashion, os traigo el desfile que para mí ha sido el gran descubrimiento de la temporada. No os extrañéis si su nombre no os suena, puesto que Maite Albéniz Zúñiga acaba de graduarse hace nada en la prestigiosa escuela barcelonesa de Felicidad Duce. Sin embargo, y tras repasar numerosas veces y embobado las prendas de esta colección, "Angel s/s 2014" os puedo afirmar que el nombre de "Albéniz" va a sonar con más fuerza cada año.

Following on trend with the 080 Barcelona Fashion coverage, I bring you the collection that so far, has been the breakout of this season for me. You might not have ever heard her name, because Maite Albéniz Zúñiga has recently graduated at the prestigious school of design, Felicidad Duce in Barcelona. However, and after staring amazed at her designs for the "Angel s/s 2014", I can assure you that the brand "Albéniz" is going to be a bigger name every year.

Si anteriormente os traía la igual de fantástica colección de Krizia Robustella, de inspiración tropical, Albéniz nos presenta una colección masculina basada en el gran detalle, que utiliza unas siluetas estilizadas y relativamente tradicionales, para después utilizar unos suntuosos tejidos, y unos materiales atrevidos e innovadores. Con unos predominantes tonos pastel, añade apliques dorados, lentejuelas, hilos de oro y cristalitos para dar el toque a sus prendas.

Whereas in the previous collection I brought you (Krizia Robustella) we could see a tropical inspiration, Albéniz delivers a masculine collection based on the delicacy and pulchritude, which uses sleek and relatively traditional silhouettes, in order to use sumptuous fabric, and daring and innovative materials. The main palette consists of pastel colors while adding golden strands, sequins and crystals to add the finish touch.

Con un elenco envidiable, entre los que se encontraban Jon Kortajarena, Antonio Navas, Clement Chabernaud, Juan Betancourt o José Lamuño entre otros, los diseños de Albéniz transmiten una sensación de lucidez, transparencia y frescura envidiable. Venidos como de una adaptación moderna de una mezcla de renacimiento y orden clásico, nos generan un impacto visual de "Elie Saab masculino". Como ya he dicho, chapó, Albéniz.

With a highly enviable cast, consisting of Jon Kortajarena, Antonio Navas, Clement Chabernaud, Juan Betancourt or Jose Lamuño among others, Albéniz designs deliver a sense of clarity, transparency and enviable freshness. Coming as a modern adaptation of a mixture between Renaissance and classical order, it comes to our minds as a "masculine Elie Saab". As I have said, chapeau, Albéniz.

SPRING SUMMER 2014 LONDON MENSWEAR

Llega el verano. Llega Junio, llega Julio, ~~llega el calor y el buen tiempo~~ y llegan las pasarelas que nos adelantan los diseños para las próximas temporadas. En esta ocasión, os traigo las propuestas de la pasarela de Londres, que tradicionalmente es la avanzadilla de las tendencias que inundarán los armarios y las tiendas más modernis de nuestras ciudades. Desde siempre Londres ha marcado un estilo muy específico, influido por los movimientos musicales surgidos en la ciudad, sus tribus urbanas y corrientes artísticas, ocupando un lugar de honor dentro de la moda europea. He aquí mis 4 colecciones favoritas para la primavera/verano de 2014,recién llegadas desde La Gran Bretaña.

It's summertime again, and that means that besides the arrival of the good weather, it's time to start lokking for the trends that will flood our wardrobes the next seasons. It is time for the London Menswear Fashion Week, which traditionally is the first of them all. Since the beggining , London has been a city that has printed a very special sign in UK brands. Music and art trends have been an undeniable influence in London-based-designers collections. Here are my top 4 picks for the spring/summer 2014 season, just in from Great Britain.

1. TOPMAN DESIGN
Los que leéis este blog, ya sabréis que Topman no es que me guste; es mas bien que le profeso una auténtica adoración. Sorprendiendo a todos nuevamente, la marca londinense toma una dirección totalmente opuesta a la línea marcada el año pasado. Basan su colección en tres ejes; la inspiración cowboy, las camisas y la seda. Dándole un toque urbano, reinventan el estilo Nashville, con bordados con motivos florales, que recuerdan a algunos realizados por Zara para esta temporada, y juegan con los tonos negros, blancos, burdeos y dorado. Unas siluetas muy holgadas, y nuevamente las gafas polarizadas para crear una colección que a primera vista podría tener un complicado traslado a la calle.

For those who are daily readers of this blog, you'll already know that I profess a special love towards Topman. It has surprised us all again, taking an opposite direction from last year's designs. Their collection is based on three axis; Cowboy inspiration, shirts and silk. Giving Nashville style a more urban touch, they create beautiful silk shirts, with delicate flower-patterned embroidery. These remind of those in this year Zara collection, but this time based on a palette of black, white, burgundy and golden. Loose silouettes and polarized sunglasses help create a collection that at first sight, may have a complicated translation in the streets.

2. MAN
MAN lleva el concepto "disney boy" a un nuevo nivel. En el primero de los 3 conceptos que presentan para el verano próximo, nos muestran a un hombre vestido con los pijamas de su infancia, iconografía de películas disney, coronas (hola, quiero una), transparencias y la flor de loto. Muy tumblr todo. Parte de la colección presenta unos trajes de verano, con bermudas muy cortas, tonos terracota, y un estilo muy "Oliver Twist moderno". Por último, y no por ello menos importante o vistoso, lo que podría considerarse la parte "haute couture". Colores vivos, extrusiones volumétricas y estampados explosivos para que os podáis disfrazar de Lady GaGa o si sois Kanye West, para el próximo videoclip.

MAN takes "Disney Boy" to a whole new level. The first of the three concepts that appear in their desings, we can see a man dressed in his childhood pyjamas, iconic symbols from Disney movies, teddy bears, crowns and lotus flowers. Very Tumblr-tastic. Another segment of the collection comes to show summer suits, with very short pants, and hinting a "modern Oliver Twist" style. Last but not least or impressive, what could easily be considered "Haute couture". If you want to dress up as Lady GaGa or you are Kanye West, this should be your choice.

3. RICHARD NICOLL
Brevemente, Richard Nicoll plantea un hombre vestido con básicos sport con un toque más trabajado y sofisticado. Tonos oscuros, cueros, sudaderas, y en cuanto a estampados se marca un Ricardo Tisci, y nos recuerda a las últimas líneas de Givenchy. Y si referencia a Givenchy es que es bueno.

Very briefly, Richard Nicolls brings a man dress with sport basics, but with a more subtle and sophisticated touch. Dark tones, leather, sweat-shirts and Ricardo Tisci look alike patterns, which really deliver.

4. CHRISTOPHER KANE
Uno de mis diseñadores ingleses favoritos, sigue sin decepcionar año tras año. Siluetas básicas, tonos vivos y estampados eclécticos aparecen en esta colección, que ya se han convertido en las señas de identidad de la firma. Ojo al calzado, porque Kane sigue apostando por los mocasines y sandalias que recuerdan a las cangrejeras.

One of my favourite english designer, continues his winning strike by not letting anyone down. Basic silouettes, live colours, eclectic patterns are shown in this collection, which joins all of the brand's trademarks. Regarding footwear, he's still relying on sandals and mocasins.
